A total of 74 houses sold in Waycross (Ware County), Georgia, in the past 6 months according to realtor.com (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Waycross_GA/type-single-family-home/show-recently-sold/pg-2).
Of the houses sold, 51 were sold at a price of $200,000 or less (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Waycross_GA/type-single-family-home/show-recently-sold/price-na-200000/pg-2).
Of the houses sold, 34 houses were sold at a price between $100K and $200K in Waycross (Ware County), Georgia, in the past 6 months according to realtor.com (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Waycross_GA/type-single-family-home/show-recently-sold/price-100000-200000). The breakdown by month in houses sold at a price between $100,000 and $200,000 follows:
- 0 from November 1 to November 7, 2024
- 6 in October 2024
- 5 in September 2024
- 5 in August 2024
- 3 in July 2024
- 6 in June 2024
- 9 from May 7 to 31, 2024
Only 17 of the houses sold at a price under $100K in the past 6 month period of time according to realtor.com (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Waycross_GA/type-single-family-home/show-recently-sold/price-na-100000), but that is not to say that those houses were livable and/or not in need of a lot of repairs and renovations.
Only 23 of the houses sold in the same 6 month period of time sold at a price higher than $200,000 (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Waycross_GA/type-single-family-home/show-recently-sold/price-200001-na)
At the time of this writing, there are 136 homes for sale in Waycross (Ware County), Georgia, listed in one of several multiple listing services (MLS), ranging in price from $3,500 to $2,875,000 according to realtor.com (https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-search/Waycross_GA/type-single-family-home/sby-2/pg-2).
Author Notes:
When the Southeast Georgia Multiple Listing Service was in existence, it was the multiple listing service that served Waycross (Ware County) and cities, towns, and counties that are close by. Now, with the Southeast Georgia Multiple Listing Service no longer in existence, there is no multiple listing service that primarily markets to Waycross. So, real estate companies that sell in Waycross use various multiple listing services to market their properties.
I used realtor.com as my source because all listings that are entered into any one of the multiple listing services that REALTORS® use are automatically also listed on realtor.com.
This article does not take into consideration for sale by owner houses listed and sold or houses listed and sold by real estate brokers/agents who do not market their listings in any multiple listing service. That information is very difficult to track.
